I used just under 7 packs of 24″ small crochet box braid hair for this and it took me about 2.5 hours to do (not including cornrowing my hair).
Crochet Box Braids With Curly Ends / A couple downsides to crochets is that they don't necessarily last as long as a style like box braids.
